Activity Details
From Monet to Van Gogh to Kandinsky
Dates: September 19, 2026, through January 10, 2027, Palazzo dei Diamanti, Ferrara.
Description: A major exhibition by the Fondazione Ferrara Arte featuring 120 works—including paintings, drawings, and prints—from the Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum in Rotterdam, spanning from Impressionism to the avant-garde movements of the 20th century.

Boat Tours in the Comacchio Valleys
Dates: Daily at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., from August 31 to November 1, 2026, departing from Foce Station (Comacchio).
Description: A guided boat tour lasting about two hours through the lagoon’s canals, where you’ll see pink flamingos, historic fishing huts, and the ruins of the ancient Etruscan city of Spina.

Exploring the Traversante Wetland Forest
Date: Friday, October 30, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., Bosco del Traversante, Campotto.
Description: A guided walk lasting about two hours through the flooded forest of the Campotto Nature Reserve, among its characteristic tree species and signs of local wildlife.

Pumpkin and Ferrara Cappellaccio (PGI) Festival
Dates: Friday, October 30 – Sunday, November 1, 2026, San Carlo Sports Field, Terre del Reno (FE). Lunch at 12:00 p.m., dinner at 7:00 p.m.
Description: The Pro Loco San Carlo Fall Festival, dedicated to pumpkins and Ferrara’s IGP Cappellaccio, featuring a covered and heated food court serving traditional Ferrara dishes.

Ferrara Food Festival
Date: Friday, October 30 – Sunday, November 1, 2026, Ferrara.
Description: A food and wine festival held throughout downtown Ferrara.

Argenta Halloween 2026
Date: Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Piazza Garibaldi, Argenta.
Description: An afternoon of festivities organized by the City of Argenta and Proloco Argenta: kids’ dance, themed workshops for children, a treasure hunt, a magic show, and live music to close out the event. Free admission.

Horrorland Halloween Festival
Date: Saturday, October 31, 2026, 8:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m., Ferrara Fiere e Congressi (Via della Fiera 11).
Description: A huge indoor Halloween party (25,000 square meters) featuring Italian and international performers, three stages, a food court, and a horror-themed amusement park. Admission is restricted to those 16 and older, wearing a Halloween-themed mask or makeup.

Halloween in Comacchio
Date: Friday, October 31 – Sunday, November 2, 2026, historic center of Comacchio.
Description: A Halloween-themed weekend in the historic center of Comacchio, featuring shows, entertainment, and an autumn atmosphere for all ages.

Traditions and Customs
Dates: Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, 2026, Ferrara Expo (Via della Fiera 11).
Description: An international fair dedicated to tradition as a tool for sustainable tourism, featuring historical reenactments, themed markets, and cultural itineraries. The ticket is also valid for the SoftAir Fair.

SoftAir Fair
Dates: Saturday, November 7, 2026, 10 a.m.–7 p.m., and Sunday, November 8, 10 a.m.–6 p.m., Ferrara Expo (Via della Fiera 11).
Description: A fair dedicated to airsoft, founded in 2005, with the fall edition held in Ferrara at the same time as “Usi e Costumi.” Full-price ticket: 12 €, reduced-price ticket: 10 €, free for children 10 and under.

Sunset Photography Tour with Sergio Stignani
Date: Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., Vallesanta (meeting point: Agriturismo Vallesanta parking lot).
Description: A photography outing led by naturalist Sergio Stignani in the Argenta Valleys, featuring technical tips on how best to capture the birdlife and landscapes of the Po Delta Park at sunset.
